With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dietrich Winkler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th minute, Wally Auffarth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fano's zone, Jan Blumenthal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dietrich Winkler came out of the goal and Jan Blumenthal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evren Cambaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Adrian Beermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to North Petherton City getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eddy Lück hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Evren Cambaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrian Beermann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 22nd match minute, North Petherton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hattendorf to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Jan Blumenthal made a precise shot to the right of Dietrich Winkler. FC Fano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A collision led to North Petherton City getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Eddy Lück hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, FC Fano's Evren Cambaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Beermann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Darius Nowak hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Jonathan Wercollier might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Beermann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Wercollier ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Blumenthal in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dietrich Winkler saved FC Fano from getting behind. North Petherton City's Adrian Beermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Wercollier in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Blumenthal was the one to do the kick off. Adrian Beermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evren Cambaz in the 52nd minute of the match. Adrian Beermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Wercollier in the 53rd minute of play. Jan Blumenthal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Dietrich Winkler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 61 minutes into the game, FC Fano's Evren Cambaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Beermann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After a rather tough play, North Petherton City's Florian Baumstark got a free kick in the 65th minute. Adrian Beermann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evren Cambaz went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the North Petherton City defense, Jonathan Wercollier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Beermann. The North Petherton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Beermann should have stopped the shot. Adrian Beermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evren Cambaz in the 74th minute of play. North Petherton City's Adrian Beermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Wercollier in the 75th minute of play. But to his dismay, Jonathan Wercollier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. FC Fano walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
