The crowd rose to their feet as Eddie Auspitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mehmet Hakkı Hazar. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walter Lampadius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, 11 Schéin Männer's goal looked a bit too open when Walter Lampadius came free, but Mehmet Hakkı Hazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Wilhelm zu Castell-Rüdenhausen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 11 Schéin Männer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Club Luxembourg the free kick.
