Walter Lampadius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Kiefer having to interfere. Bart Thielemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Daniel Kiefer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Racing Club Luxembourg's Walter Lampadius got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Eddie Auspitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club Luxembourg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Auspitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Walter Lampadius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lynx FC's Daniel Kiefer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Philip Geschwind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perry Beicht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franck Klepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Geschwind made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franck Klepper in the 22nd minute. After 25 minutes of play, Racing Club Luxembourg's Thibault Klepper made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The Lynx FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Racing Club Luxembourg were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perry Beicht was the one to do the kick off. Racing Club Luxembourg's Philip Geschwind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franck Klepper in the 52nd minute of play. Philip Geschwind didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franck Klepper went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Walter Lampadius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racing Club Luxembourg's Thibault Klepper got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walter Lampadiuss short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Daniel Kiefer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Daniel Kiefer managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Racing Club Luxembourg's Walter Lampadius fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Walter Lampadius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Daniel Kiefer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustav Ludwick took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Kiefer. Gerd Meyers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Kiefer. Lynx FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Racing Club Luxembourg left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lynx FC.
