Spectators: 9179 (Terracing: 6886, Seating: 2111, VIP seats: 182) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jean-Claude Eberhardt took the kick off in the first half of the match. F91 Dudelange's Philip von Prittwitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timothy Kemmer in the 8th minute of play. Aaron Brötzmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Philip von Prittwitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bernd Hummel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucien Grasmück took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip von Prittwitz. F91 Dudelange's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Philip von Prittwitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timothy Kemmer in the 16th minute of the match. When Timothy Kemmer came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Stanway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothy Kemmer couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Aaron Brötzmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Philip von Prittwitz. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Timothy Kemmer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timothy Kemmer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Philip von Prittwitz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Dennis Gottschalk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Bruckmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Claude Eberhardt during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Philip von Prittwitz came out of the goal and Timothy Kemmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Timothy Kemmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Stanway's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Gottschalk came free, but Fred Bruckmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Bruckmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Claude Eberhardt, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Timothy Kemmer to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timothy Kemmer in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip von Prittwitz saved F91 Dudelange from getting behind. Stanway's Fred Bruckmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Kühnhackl in the 53rd minute of play. After 62 minutes, Timothy Kemmer made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. F91 Dudelange's Philip von Prittwitz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute Timothy Kemmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip von Prittwitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanway's Fred Bruckmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Stanway from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Stanway's Fred Bruckmann got control of the ball when Dennis Gottschalk tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Timothy Kemmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Brötzmann in the 76th minute of play forced F91 Dudelange's goalkeeper Philip von Prittwitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Stanway's Timothy Kemmer in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F91 Dudelange's goalie prevented a goal. Bodo Jentzsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Otto Kühnhackl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Stanway players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
