Hayden Bartrup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Baumgärtner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Charles Wolf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union Remich Bous's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brierley Hill FC the free kick. A collision led to Union Remich Bous getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Charles Wolf hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Union Remich Bous's Hayden Bartrup threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Liam Baumgärtner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Brierley Hill FC's Hayden Bartrup got control of the ball when Christof Feldstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jeff Cousins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Brierley Hill FC booed when Union Remich Bous was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Wolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Vance Barr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Cousins in the 28th minute of play forced Union Remich Bous's goalkeeper Ollie Helminger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Cousins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ollie Helminger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute Liam Baumgärtner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Bartrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Jacques Löw got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hayden Bartrup quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Vance Barr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vance Barr's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ollie Helminger firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hayden Bartrup showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Baumgärtner, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Union Remich Bous's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacques Löw in the 77th minute.
