Timothy Hantzsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernhard Krier in the 14th minute of play forced Hawkcombe's goalkeeper Henry Juncker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Aldershot fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Aldershot's Jonas Majerus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Henry Juncker came out of the goal and Timothy Hantzsch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Jonas Majerus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aldershot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Majerus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hawkcombe booed when Aldershot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lutz Schlaustein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregory Hildmann came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hawkcombe's Lenny Thimmesch. But to his dismay, Lenny Thimmesch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 37 minutes of play, Aldershot's Klaus Hirsch made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Juncker was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute Jonas Majerus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Juncker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Aldershot got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Majerus. Henry Juncker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonas Majerus's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lenny Thimmesch made a kick off. Bernhard Krier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernhard Krier struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Henry Juncker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aldershot. Bernhard Krier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Henry Juncker made a huge save. When Lenny Thimmesch came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hawkcombe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lenny Thimmesch couldn't finish the play. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hawkcombe! The goalkeeper, Henry Juncker, was totally fooled by Aldershot's Timothy Hantzsch, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 70thth minute of the game Bernhard Krier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hawkcombe's Henry Juncker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 70 minutes, Fred Nosbusch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawkcombe and the Aldershot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fred Nosbusch hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Bernhard Krier took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Henry Juncker to make any attempt to save it. The audience was convinced that Bernhard Krier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Juncker was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Jonas Majerus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralf Behm struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute.
