Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernhard Krier made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Bernhard Krier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saint Etienne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernhard Krier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 6 played minutes FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ got a freekick which was hit by Armin Kayser. Willy von Waldersee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gregory Hildmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian De Weerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Babineaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gregory Hildmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julian De Weerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willy Costermans had great luck who in the 22ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Bernhard Krier from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 24 minutes into the game, Bernhard Krier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Willy Costermans. Bernhard Krier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Willy Costermans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernhard Krier's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Jacobo Lazcano made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Armin Kayser. 32 minutes into the game, Julian De Weerd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Etienne the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian De Weerd to maneuver through the defense. Markus Homburg hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Armin Kayser left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Julian De Weerd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Willy Costermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernhard Krier, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Bernhard Krier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Babineaux received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregory Hildmann came out and tried to block the shot, but Dennis Babineaux slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 64th minute. Gregory Hildmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Babineaux in the 67th minute of play. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's Dennis Babineaux came free and shot a quick shot against goal 68 minutes in the game, fortunately Gregory Hildmann had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Willy von Waldersee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willy Costermans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhard Krier in the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Saint Etienne getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ralf Behm hit a great ball. Willy Costermans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernhard Krier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernhard Krier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-4 became the score in the 92nd minute when Dennis Babineaux elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. FC ROTOR ᴱᴸᴵᵀᴱ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
