The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Lynx FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Franck Klepper hit a great ball. Adrian Modig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Magro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Beicht in the 18th minute of play. The throw-in from Francesco von Fürstenberg in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by luxsTarss's Pol Bodenschatz. After 23 played minutes Lynx FC got a freekick which was hit by Mick Osswald. Victor Magro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Beicht in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of luxsTarss booed when Lynx FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sammy Auffarth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franck Klepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Victor Magro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adrian Modig fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored luxsTarss's protests and gave Adrian Modig a yellow card for diving instead. Adrian Modig kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. When Franck Klepper came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Lynx FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franck Klepper couldn't finish the play. Gustav Heisenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Kiefer having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Modig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Adrian Modig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Kiefer. Lynx FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrian Modig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Christian Achenbach struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Daniel Kiefer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for luxsTarss. After a defensive mix-up in Lynx FC's zone, Adrian Modig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Kiefer came out of the goal and Adrian Modig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the luxsTarss defense, Perry Beicht kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Magro. The luxsTarss fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Magro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perry Beicht in the 77th minute of play forced luxsTarss's goalkeeper Victor Magro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Achenbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abraham Dubois kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When Jérôme Kachel fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lynx FC's protests and gave Jérôme Kachel a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Modig in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Kiefer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
