Ollie Helminger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Racing Club Luxembourg's Philip Geschwind got control of the ball when Christof Feldstein tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philip Geschwind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Baumgärtner, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 19th match minute, Racing Club Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Thielemann to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Union Remich Bous getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jacob Stoffel hit a great ball. Walter Lampadius struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Ollie Helminger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club Luxembourg. 27 minutes into the match, Donny Juncker sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Philip Geschwind threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Donny Juncker this time. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walter Lampadius in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ollie Helminger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Philip Geschwind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Baumgärtner in the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Racing Club Luxembourg's Thibault Klepper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ollie Helminger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Eddie Auspitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ollie Helminger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Liam Baumgärtner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Remich Bous's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Baumgärtner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 minutes, Walter Lampadius made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Union Remich Bous's Ollie Helminger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Racing Club Luxembourg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Liam Baumgärtner to make the kick off. Walter Lampadius struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Racing Club Luxembourg's supporters rose to their feet, but Thibault Klepper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ollie Helminger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Racing Club Luxembourg's Philip Geschwind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liam Baumgärtner in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Liam Baumgärtner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Philip Geschwind. Racing Club Luxembourg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liam Baumgärtner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 67th minute of the match Donny Juncker sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Philip Geschwind skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Liam Baumgärtner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Union Remich Bous's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Baumgärtner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christof Feldstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Christof Feldstein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Union Remich Bous fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 82nd match minute, Union Remich Bous was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Edelstein to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Walter Lampadius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Racing Club Luxembourg's Gustav Ludwick got a free kick in the 94th minute.
