Spectators: 10855 (Terracing: 8143, Seating: 2496, VIP seats: 216) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmondo Venditti kicked off to start the match. Martin Steffen came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by LuxTor's Szczepan Wojtkiewicz. But to his dismay, Szczepan Wojtkiewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Siegfried Reuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Henry Walch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LuxTor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mondorf Forest the free kick. The supporters of Mondorf Forest booed when LuxTor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Walch didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Szczepan Wojtkiewicz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the LuxTor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Szczepan Wojtkiewicz couldn't finish the play. Siegfried Reuter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Szczepan Wojtkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Steffen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mondorf Forest's Vincent Gessler got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LuxTor! The goalkeeper, Eddy Diederich, was totally fooled by Mondorf Forest's Ruben Schmit, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Siegfried Reuter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Steffen came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by LuxTor's Siegfried Reuter. But to his dismay, Siegfried Reuter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Szczepan Wojtkiewicz struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Martin Steffen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LuxTor.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Szczepan Wojtkiewicz made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Lazlo Guttenbrunn in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by LuxTor's Hugo Thorn. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Venditti in the 55th minute of play. Edmondo Venditti scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eddy Diederich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Szczepan Wojtkiewiczs short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Martin Steffen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mondorf Forest's Lazlo Guttenbrunn quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arnt Aronsen, made in the 69th minute of the game. Szczepan Wojtkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mondorf Forest's Martin Steffen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siegfried Reuter in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes Mondorf Forest's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnt Aronsen who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Hugo Thorn almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mondorf Forest's Martin Steffen did a great save. Szczepan Wojtkiewiczs short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Martin Steffen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. LuxTor's Eddy Diederich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Horowitz in the 84th minute of play. Szczepan Wojtkiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Martin Steffen made a huge save. After 92 played minutes Mondorf Forest got a freekick which was hit by Bart Feuerstein. Despite being the better team, LuxTor failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
