In the 11th minute Wendelin Hirsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, FC Brody's Wendelin Hirsch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cliff Waller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lutz Elkuch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Thamesmead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wendelin Hirsch came free, but Cliff Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Weirath kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theodore Frutig to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Thamesmead FC's Danilo Leonz got a free kick in the 53rd minute. The supporters of FC Brody booed when Thamesmead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverius Schäppi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Wendelin Hirsch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cliff Waller was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Flavio Weirath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Waller having to interfere. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thamesmead FC's goalkeeper Cliff Waller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wendelin Hirsch's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cliff Waller read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. FC Brody's Wendelin Hirsch got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Wendelin Hirsch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cliff Waller. The goal made the score 1-2.
