Fabio Caduffs short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Igor Brunner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leopold Schäpper struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Igor Brunner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wem. Igor Brunner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Caduff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wendelin da Silva hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 22nd minute, but Igor Brunner got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Club 1979 hanging dry this time. Florian Lüdi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Benjamin Gebhard's late challenge caught a Club 1979's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Gebhard helped the player get up and apologised. 27 minutes into the match, Club 1979's Florian Lüdi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Fabio Caduff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Igor Brunner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rico Donath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Christen having to interfere. Fabio Caduff in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Igor Brunner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Club 1979's Igor Brunner got control of the ball when Fabio Caduff tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 62ndth minute of the game Fabio Caduff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club 1979's Igor Brunner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Fabio Caduff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Brunner was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Leopold Schäpper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Fabio Caduff made a precise shot to the right of Igor Brunner. Club 1979's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 86 minutes of play, Wem's Leopold Schäpper made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Igor Brunner was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 91 played minutes Club 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Wendelin da Silva. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabio Caduff in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Brunner saved Club 1979 from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wem had played much better football throughout.
