Lucas Berno hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Theodore Frutig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Antonio Schneider managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thamesmead FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Schneider was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Brunner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Schneider received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Igor Brunner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Club 1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Berno to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Schneider in the 28th minute of play forced Club 1979's goalkeeper Igor Brunner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Thamesmead FC's Kristian Devaud got a free kick in the 29th minute. Igor Brunner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theodore Frutig, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Theodore Frutig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rico Donath's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cliff Waller read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Thamesmead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rico Donath came free, but Cliff Waller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Rico Donath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cliff Waller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cliff Waller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rico Donath in the 74th minute of the match. Club 1979's Igor Brunner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theodore Frutig in the 75th minute of play. Cliff Waller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rico Donath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Club 1979's zone, Theodore Frutig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Brunner came out of the goal and Theodore Frutig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Schneider could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Igor Brunner made a huge save. With a little luck, Club 1979's Igor Brunner got control of the ball when Antonio Schneider tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rico Donath recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Antonio Schneider came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Thamesmead FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Schneider couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Thamesmead FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club 1979 throughout the match.
