The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elia Pfeiffer in the 16th minute of play forced Welling's goalkeeper Philip Federici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Welling's Philip Federici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elia Pfeiffer in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elia Pfeiffer in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip Federici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute, Gibson Andermatt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Welling getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Jendrick Junod hit a great ball. Philip Federici didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro Hanselmann went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Philip Federici showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Konstantin Demirci in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Welling got a freekick which was hit by Julio Imboden. After a defensive mix-up in Welling's zone, Elia Pfeiffer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Federici came out of the goal and Elia Pfeiffer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patric Hildebrandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jendrick Junod in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Rotaboda's Sandro Hanselmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Philip Federici narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Welling's zone, Sandro Hanselmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philip Federici came out of the goal and Sandro Hanselmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philip Federici made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sandro Hanselmann sent off a good shot on target. If Sandro Hanselmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Elia Pfeiffer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philip Federici, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kuno Betz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elia Pfeiffer in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Federici saved Welling from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Sandro Hanselmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip Federici was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Philip Federici showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Hanselmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Philip Federici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro Hanselmann in the 84th minute. Konstantin Demirci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elia Pfeiffer in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philip Federici, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Philip Federici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandro Hanselmann in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Rotaboda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Welling throughout the match.
