Liechtenstein City's Florian Bürzle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixt Simon in the 11th minute of play. Liechtenstein City's Sven-John Telic got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sven-John Telic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raphael Alabor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Liechtenstein City's Michele Nutsch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horace Mischler. That made the score 2-0 after 22 minutes of play. Michele Nutsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristobal Grubenmann kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Michele Nutsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horace Mischler. Elsdon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michele Nutsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rasul Müller in the 42nd minute of play forced Liechtenstein City's goalkeeper Florian Bürzle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liechtenstein City's zone, Rasul Müller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Bürzle came out of the goal and Rasul Müller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Michele Nutsch made the kick off in the second half. Michele Nutsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Horace Mischler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michele Nutsch in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horace Mischler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Michele Nutsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horace Mischler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Florian Bürzle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rasul Müller's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Sven-John Telic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Horace Mischler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Elsdon's goal looked a bit too open when Michele Nutsch came free, but Horace Mischler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michele Nutsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Horace Mischler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Liechtenstein City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
