Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Grüne Kobolde's Wolfgang Hassler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Carlo Noser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grüne Kobolde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Noser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5thth minute of the game Wolfgang Hassler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chingford's Chuck Messmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Helmut Studer was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Helmut Studer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Marcel Ott in the 10th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Chuck Messmer's left hand side. Carlo Noser struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Chuck Messmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grüne Kobolde. In the 13th match minute, Chingford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garnier Zollinger to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Chingford's Karsten Gregg got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ulrich Berthold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grüne Kobolde's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulrich Berthold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuck Messmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chuck Messmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrich Berthold in the 30th minute of the match. Ulrich Berthold's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chuck Messmer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Chingford's Chuck Messmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Matsch in the 33rd minute of play. Chuck Messmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Noser in the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Grüne Kobolde getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Carlo Noser hit a great ball. Chuck Messmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Noser in the 40th minute of play. Francisco Gilg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 played minutes Grüne Kobolde got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Fry. After recieving a nice pass, Chingford's Cristobal Mathieu tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute Andy Rohrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chuck Messmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Chingford booed when Grüne Kobolde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Matsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karsten Gregg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Anton Biedermann made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Wolfgang Hassler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grüne Kobolde's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Hassler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chuck Messmer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Gilg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Anton Biedermann firmly grabbed it by the left post. Anton Biedermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Janning Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After some careless play in the Chingford defense, Andy Rohrer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chuck Messmer. The Chingford fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chuck Messmer should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Noser in the 72nd minute of play forced Chingford's goalkeeper Chuck Messmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wolfgang Hassler in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chuck Messmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the game, Ulrich Berthold cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Chuck Messmer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute, Carlo Noser made a precise shot to the right of Chuck Messmer. Chingford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Andy Rohrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Chuck Messmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andy Rohrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chuck Messmer having to interfere. Chuck Messmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wolfgang Hassler's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Garnier Zollinger kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
