Chris Stahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerold Baumeister in the 13th minute of play. After 23 minutes of play, Looe FC's Gerold Baumeister made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chris Stahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Looe FC's zone, Ernst Goob stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauritz Barbey came out of the goal and Ernst Goob tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Looe FC booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boris Marxer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauritz Barbey made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Boris Marxer sent off a good shot on target. Chris Stahl came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Looe FC's Gerold Baumeister. But to his dismay, Gerold Baumeister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 47 minutes into the match, Gerold Baumeister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chris Stahl. Temperley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gerold Baumeister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After the first half Looe FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boris Marxer was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes, Edy Ruosch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temperley and the Looe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Looe FC booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edy Ruosch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Temperley's Chris Stahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Temperley from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Gerold Baumeister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Looe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerold Baumeister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chris Stahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Temperley's Chris Stahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerold Baumeister in the 59th minute of play. Chris Stahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerold Baumeister, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Boris Marxer scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauritz Barbey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Constantine Nolle kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Frederick Eigensatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Chris Stahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Stahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerold Baumeister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Boris Marxer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauritz Barbey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lutz Memeti to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Gerold Baumeister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Looe FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerold Baumeister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chris Stahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 93 minutes, Boris Marxer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temperley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Marxer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
