An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Di Berardino in the 3rd minute of play forced Catese FC's goalkeeper Beppe Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Di Dio hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. When Franco Di Berardino came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the San Silvestro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franco Di Berardino couldn't finish the play. Florian Orlandi struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Beppe Di Giambattista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Silvestro. Florian Orlandi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beppe Di Giambattista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Di Berardino in the 22nd minute of play forced Catese FC's goalkeeper Beppe Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Orlandi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Beppe Di Giambattista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beppe Di Giambattista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Di Berardino in the 29th minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Catese FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Silvestro:s goal. Flavio Di Dio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Demetrio Corvasce made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Flavio Di Dio sent off a good shot on target. Franco Di Berardino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beppe Di Giambattista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Florian Orlandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Di Giambattista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Biagio Pedrelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes Catese FC got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Pedrelli. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florian Orlandi made a kick off. After 59 played minutes Catese FC got a freekick which was hit by Biagio Pedrelli. Franco Di Berardino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Beppe Di Giambattista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Florian Orlandi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franco Di Berardino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Beppe Di Giambattista made a huge save. Franco Di Berardino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Silvestro walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
