Concetto Cristofari came out of the goal and Fulvio Scevola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Limito's Zeledon Pujol in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye US Colline Livorno's goalie prevented a goal. 29 minutes into the game, Ferdinando Rucci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. US Colline Livorno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limito the free kick. Fabrizio Ronconi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Concetto Cristofari having to interfere. Fabrizio Ronconi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Concetto Cristofari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Fulvio Di Filippo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limito's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulvio Di Filippo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Concetto Cristofari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulvio Di Filippo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Concetto Cristofari had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Ferdinando Vieri's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bruno Pittelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesare Pizziolo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulvio Di Filippo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute, Corrado Salerno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fulvio Di Filippo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
