Palazzi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dairago AFC the free kick. Comunardo Di Cesare kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes, Dairago AFC's Armin Crema shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alvise Marini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dairago AFC reached it. Aurelio Menna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Teobald Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Candeloro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobald Fafinski having to interfere. Alvise Marini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Conti in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Dairago AFC's Enzo Conti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvise Marini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Dairago AFC booed when Palazzi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Comunardo Di Cesare didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Enzo Conti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvise Marini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 35 played minutes Palazzi got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Di Cesare. In the 36th minute of the match Armin Crema sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvise Marini skillfully saved the ball. Enzo Conti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Aurelio Menna made the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Menna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Teobald Fafinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinando Del Nero kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. When Damiano Simeoni came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Palazzi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Simeoni couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute, Damiano Pantani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvise Marini was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Damiano Pantani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. If Damiano Pantani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Although Palazzi had been in control for most of the match, Dairago AFC still came away with the win.
