Beppe Valcareggi came out of the goal and Emilio Marrone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Comunardo Fantozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Deportivo De La Prugna's goalkeeper Antonello Gerosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edoardo Terrasi. There was no doubt that Deportivo De La Prugna were the better team. Deportivo De La Prugna's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
