In the 8th match minute, Real Giefra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Melchiorre to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ferdinando Di Pasquale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pezze F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinando Di Pasquale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fedele Ascenzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pezze F.C.'s Angelo Gagliano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Polidori in the 11th minute of play. Felice Polidori fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Gagliano having to interfere. Real Giefra's attack was well implemented in the 21st minute, but when Anthony Gelsomini was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Felice Polidori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Ferdinando Di Pasquale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Giefra's Fedele Ascenzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ferdinando Di Pasquale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Ascenzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Di Pasquale in the 33rd minute of play. When Pezze F.C.'s Ferdinando Di Pasquale in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Giefra's goalie prevented a goal. Fedele Ascenzi made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Carmine Rosetta sent off a good shot on target. Ciccio Melchiorre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Angelo Gagliano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Bruno Pantani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinando Di Pasquale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Real Giefra's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bruno Pantani who took care of the corner kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmine Rosetta in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fedele Ascenzi saved Real Giefra from getting behind. Beppe Melchiorre charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beppe Melchiorre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Beppe Melchiorre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pezze F.C.'s Ferdinando Di Pasquale in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pezze F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Giefra the free kick. After 74 played minutes Pezze F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Curti. If Ferdinando Di Pasquale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Giefra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felice Polidori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
