Amos Bucciarelli hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Ercole Boccanera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Persichetti. Villanova FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ercole Boccanera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Villanova FC's Amos Bucciarelli got his second yellow card of the match in the 8th minute. The referee ordered Amos Bucciarelli off the ground. After 8 played minutes Villanova FC got a freekick which was hit by Amos Bucciarelli. After 16 minutes, Ercole Boccanera made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Villanova FC's Alfredo Persichetti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 39 minutes, Ercole Boccanera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletic Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercole Boccanera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo Persichetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Bassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Diego Bassi scored 0-4 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Persichetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Persichetti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Boccanera, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the game, Fulvio Di Muzio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
