AC Pannocchie's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmondo De Toni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvise Cannavacciuolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvise Cannavacciuolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Porreca in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bollate's zone, Edmondo De Toni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Cannavacciuolo came out of the goal and Edmondo De Toni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvise Cannavacciuolo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmondo De Toni in the 38th minute of play. Donato Pozzo struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Beppe Cappucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bollate. The tension between the AC Pannocchie and the Bollate players grew even worse after the yellow card.
