If Eraldo Marcantonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Travaglini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eraldo Marcantonio went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Christian Travaglini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eraldo Marcantonio in the 12th minute. If Eraldo Marcantonio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Gattopardo's Eraldo Marcantonio made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Travaglini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Anzolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Alberico in the 33rd minute of the match. After 35 minutes, Armin De Santis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus FC and the Gattopardo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antonello Fantozzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Travaglini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. If Antonello Fantozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match Anfilogino Di Muzio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Travaglini skillfully saved the ball. Eraldo Marcantonio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Christian Travaglini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Antonello Fantozzi in the 48th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonello Fantozzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Juventus FC's zone, Eraldo Marcantonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Travaglini came out of the goal and Eraldo Marcantonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Travaglini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Marcantonio, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Fausto Piola fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Juventus FC's protests and gave Fausto Piola a yellow card for diving instead. Fausto Piola hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Gattopardo's Elia Montini broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Emilio Fabiani charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Fabiani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Juventus FC booed when Gattopardo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Fabiani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antonello Fantozzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Travaglini having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Antonello Fantozzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Travaglini was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When Eraldo Marcantonio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Gattopardo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eraldo Marcantonio couldn't finish the play. Antonello Fantozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonello Fantozzi in the 87th minute of play forced Juventus FC's goalkeeper Christian Travaglini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gattopardo's goalkeeper Dave Anzolin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Travaglini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Marcantonio in the 99th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gattopardo had played much better football throughout.
