After 27 played minutes, Castello AFC's Augusto Carnevale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Vago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castello AFC reached it. After a rather tough play, Castello AFC's Augusto Tatangelo got a free kick in the 29th minute. A collision led to Ponzano getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Cristoforo Briano hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Bianco Garofalo made a precise shot to the right of Cesare Labate. Castello AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 47th minute, Arrigo Tocchetto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Castello AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dario Felice stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 64 played minutes Ponzano got a freekick which was hit by Achille Melucci. Arrigo Tocchetto in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Vago, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 85th minute Bianco Garofalo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Labate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesare Labate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Felice in the 90th minute of the match. When Dario Felice came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ponzano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Felice couldn't finish the play. Corrado Mirto hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ponzano's Corrado Mirto got a free kick in the 99th minute.
