The supporters of Napoli B booed when The Dark Passenger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Pozzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Malinconico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Censi in the 9th minute of play. Alexander Malinconico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felice Rulli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Felice Rulli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alexander Malinconico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in The Dark Passenger's zone, Alessandro Censi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Malinconico came out of the goal and Alessandro Censi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alessandro Censi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexander Malinconico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felice Rulli in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Malinconico saved The Dark Passenger from getting behind. A collision led to Napoli B getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alessio Natalucci hit a great ball. Alfonso Di Pietro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amerigo Barillari. Napoli B's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ercole Leoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Dark Passenger's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercole Leoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amerigo Barillari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmondo Pozzo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Alessio Natalucci was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 44 minutes, Ermanno Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the The Dark Passenger and the Napoli B players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Napoli B booed when The Dark Passenger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Alessandro Censi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Napoli B fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessandro Censi couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute Felice Rulli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Malinconico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Napoli B were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alessandro Censi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ercole Leoni had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amerigo Barillari. Napoli B's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ercole Leoni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugenio Zappacosta during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Amerigo Barillari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Guerriero, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 66th minute Alessandro Censi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Malinconico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes The Dark Passenger's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alessio Natalucci who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Alessio Natalucci got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alexander Malinconico quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felice Rulli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Malinconico having to make a save. Alexander Malinconico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Censi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Censi kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Alexander Malinconico stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessandro Censi's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Andrea Di Persio hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alessandro Censi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Malinconico was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Felice Rulli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermanno Mariano got his second yellow card in the match during the 92nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 93 played minutes The Dark Passenger got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Mariano. Felice Rulli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th match minute, The Dark Passenger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Porreca to maneuver through the defense. Napoli B's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
