Spectators: 7298 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Alberto Iannone started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute of the match, Antonio Caccavale got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alessandro Massa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 7 minutes, Antonio Caccavale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pioppa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Caccavale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Federico Rosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Alessandro Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Federico Rosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Rosi in the 17th minute of play. Antonio Caccavale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Massa having to interfere. Alessandro Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Rosi in the 22nd minute of the match. Antonio Caccavale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Alessandro Massa made a huge save. Real Lanciano's Alessandro Massa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Real Lanciano from getting a goal against them. Antonio Caccavale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alessandro Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pioppa FC's zone, Emanuele Marulli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ennio Colucci came out of the goal and Emanuele Marulli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Pioppa FC defense, Alberto Iannone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ennio Colucci. The Pioppa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ennio Colucci should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Federico Rosi made a precise shot to the right of Alessandro Massa. Real Lanciano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 39th minute Federico Rosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Caccavale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Alessandro Massa made a huge save. When Federico Rosi came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pioppa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Rosi couldn't finish the play. Federico Rosi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Federico Rosi made the kick off in the second half. Alessandro Massa came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pioppa FC's Federico Rosi. But to his dismay, Federico Rosi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Federico Rosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Rosi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Alessandro Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, one of Real Lanciano:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Lanciano. Federico Rosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Rosi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Massa having to interfere. If Antonio Caccavale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermanno Piccoli during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pioppa FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ermanno Piccoli hit a great ball. Alberto Iannone was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Real Lanciano's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Federico Rosi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Rosi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Miconi in the 98th minute of play. Pioppa FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
