If Bianco Palombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Bianco Palombi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlo Santagata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise De Michele in the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Alvise De Michele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codemondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvise De Michele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Codemondo booed when F.C Speranta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Schirone didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Fabio Marzo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and F.C Speranta's Carlo Santagata didn't even have to move. In the 39th minute Amos Granati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosimo Porreca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Bianco Palombi managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bianco Perna in the 42nd minute of play forced F.C Speranta's goalkeeper Carlo Santagata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Codemondo's goalkeeper Cosimo Porreca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Santilli. Aldo Santilli's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cosimo Porreca firmly grabbed it by the left post. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Codemondo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flavio Bizzarri was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C Speranta's players had a chance to rest. 47 minutes into the game, one of Codemondo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave F.C Speranta a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Flavio Bizzarri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Codemondo's Cosimo Porreca. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Amos Granati made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind F.C Speranta's goalkeeper Carlo Santagata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlo Santagata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristoforo Schirone in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in F.C Speranta's zone, Bianco Palombi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlo Santagata came out of the goal and Bianco Palombi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvise De Michele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carlo Santagata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvise De Michele recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F.C Speranta's Carlo Santagata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Palombi in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes F.C Speranta got a freekick which was hit by Emanuele Ceresoli. Carlo Santagata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Sforza in the 69th minute of the match. Cristoforo Schirone struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Carlo Santagata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Codemondo. After having played for 73 minutes, Cristoforo Schirone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codemondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristoforo Schirone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristiano Di Fiore kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. If Cristoforo Schirone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Marzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Santagata having to interfere. A collision led to Codemondo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bianco Perna hit a great ball. F.C Speranta's Carlo Santagata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save F.C Speranta from getting a goal against them. Cristoforo Schirone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Santagata having to interfere. The F.C Speranta support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
