The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bianco Mercuri came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Pittolo FC's Donato Nero. But to his dismay, Donato Nero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Donato Neros short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Bianco Mercuri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ciro Corleone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Colle having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Amerigo Massimini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Giolo, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pittolo FC's Fabiano Benedetti got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Nero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Bianco Mercuri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Daniele Andreozzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Corleone in the 35th minute of play forced Pittolo FC's goalkeeper Christian Colle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniele Andreozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bianco Mercuri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Nero in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Benedetti to make the kick off. Fabiano Benedetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Mercuri having to interfere. Christian Colle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Andreozzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Pittolo FC booed when Mr Muffin f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Picozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Fabiano Benedetti made a precise shot to the right of Bianco Mercuri. Mr Muffin f.c.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 68 minutes into the match, Donato Nero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bianco Mercuri. Mr Muffin f.c.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Nero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Christian Colle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 80 minutes into the match, Pittolo FC's goalkeeper Christian Colle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Corleone. Bianco Mercuri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Benedetti in the 83rd minute of the match. Fabiano Benedetti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bianco Mercuri having to make a save. Fabiano Benedetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Bianco Mercuri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Corleone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Colle having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pittolo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mr Muffin f.c. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
