In the 15thth minute of the game Ernesto Maggi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Antella AFC's Alessandro Melchiorre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alberigo Facchetti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carter Basiles short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Arrigo La Penna to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alberigo Facchetti struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alessandro Melchiorre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arese. After a defensive mix-up in Antella AFC's zone, Emilio Catena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alessandro Melchiorre came out of the goal and Emilio Catena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberigo Facchetti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arrigo La Penna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Poletti, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, Antella AFC's Arrigo La Penna threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ferdinando Poletti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Elia Capaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, Damiano Chiavetta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arese's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antella AFC the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Arese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damiano Chiavetta to maneuver through the defense. Arese's Arrigo La Penna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Basile in the 42nd minute of play. Alessandro Melchiorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Facchetti in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Antella AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arese the free kick. Antella AFC's Alessandro Melchiorre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Antella AFC from getting a goal against them. Arrigo La Penna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carter Basile went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. If Edmondo La Marca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the match, Carter Basile had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arrigo La Penna. Arese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carter Basile was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The supporters of Arese booed when Antella AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Picca didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Domenico Bordon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Antella AFC's Alessandro Melchiorre didn't even have to move. Alessandro Melchiorre was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberigo Facchetti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. Emilio Catena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alessandro Melchiorre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberigo Facchetti struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alberigo Facchetti succeeded in the game's 97th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Arese players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
