The supporters of Tipano booed when Cosenza Calcio F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Colombi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arrigo Roberto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Felice Piermattei firmly grabbed it by the left post. Felice Piermattei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Chiappini in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Cesare Tammaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Chiappini in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felice Piermattei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Aurelio Chiappini put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Felice Piermattei. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Attilio Bravo during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 67 played minutes Tipano got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Bravo. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tipano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cosenza Calcio F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
