With a little luck, Albereto AFC's Biagio Lombardi got control of the ball when Carmine Corna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Smurgo United's Camillo Silvestre got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Smurgo United booed when Albereto AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo Bondi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 63 minutes, Camillo Silvestre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smurgo United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camillo Silvestre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Silvestre in the 75th minute of play forced Albereto AFC's goalkeeper Biagio Lombardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Camillo Silvestre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Lombardi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Albereto AFC's zone, Camillo Silvestre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Biagio Lombardi came out of the goal and Camillo Silvestre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Camillo Silvestre struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Biagio Lombardi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smurgo United. Biagio Lombardi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Silvestre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmine Corna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Biagio Lombardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Camillo Silvestre in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When the final whistle sounded Smurgo United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Albereto AFC.
