Damiano Spinelli's late challenge caught a Marcon FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damiano Spinelli helped the player get up and apologised. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Aurelio Di Fabrizio sped through Pozzo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernesto Cauli. After 20 played minutes Marcon FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Cicchini. Ernesto Cauli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Di Fabrizio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pozzo's Ernesto Cauli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Di Fabrizio in the 28th minute of play. Fedele Riva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Marcon FC's Alvise Rinaldi got a free kick in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Damiano Spinelli could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Baltazar Quaresma however easily saved by the left post. Ernesto Cauli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Di Fabrizio's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Pozzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Treglia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Fulvio Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcon FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulvio Rosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Cauli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Marcon FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Di Fabrizio made a kick off. Ettore Gagliano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ernesto Cauli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Cauli stood somewhat misplaced when Aurelio Di Fabrizio came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 59 minute. Baltazar Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Spinelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pozzo's Ernesto Cauli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Di Fabrizio in the 67th minute of play. Fabiano Orsini struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ernesto Cauli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marcon FC. Fulvio Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Cauli having to interfere. Pozzo's Ernesto Cauli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Di Fabrizio in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Pozzo's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Gagliano came free, but Ernesto Cauli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Leonard Fujara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 83rd minute, Marcon FC's Aurelio Di Fabrizio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Cauli. Ernesto Cauli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Di Fabrizio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Cauli was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After having played for 88 minutes, Ettore Gagliano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marcon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Gagliano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Pozzo getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Damiano Spinelli hit a great ball. If Aurelio Di Fabrizio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Marcon FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pozzo throughout the match.
