Attilio Michelini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Quarto Inferiore FC's Antonello Lupi got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute, R. C. F. C.'s Elia Cantagallo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elia Cantagallo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of R. C. F. C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elia Cantagallo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of R. C. F. C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quarto Inferiore FC:s goal. 28 minutes into the game, Emilio Ciarrocchi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alberto Castelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Galdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Rocchetti having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Puja to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Biagio Di Nucci managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. R. C. F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Biagio Di Nucci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfonso Galdi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Rocchetti having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Ruggeri in the 64th minute of play forced Quarto Inferiore FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Rocchetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Arioli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ernesto Rocchetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enzo Arioli scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Rocchetti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Enzo Arioli sped through Quarto Inferiore FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernesto Rocchetti. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Alexander Ruggeri managed to get in a good position for a shot. R. C. F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Ruggeri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernesto Rocchetti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrico Bosco in the 92nd minute of play forced Quarto Inferiore FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Rocchetti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
