Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's Donato Nelli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itafani. Alex Saturno charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Saturno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Saturno hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Fortunato Danza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alessio Vasco skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's zone, Arturo Gervasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carter Maccarone came out of the goal and Arturo Gervasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinando Pensa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carter Maccarone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Pensa in the 42nd minute of play forced Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's goalkeeper Carter Maccarone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Di Domenico kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arturo Gervasi made a kick off. Itafani were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florian Stragapede took the corner. Alessio Vasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 64 minutes of play Itafani's Ennio Ballerini was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 68th minute of the match Borgo Grotta Gigante AFC got a corner. Itafani's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Nelli ran over to the corner to take the kick.
