Franco Castrucci's late challenge caught a Calvizzano AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franco Castrucci helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ghezzi FC's Franco Castrucci got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Carlo Di Gregorio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ghezzi FC's Augusto Battisti didn't even have to move. Alessio Diana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alessio Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Ghezzi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvise Olmi to maneuver through the defense. When Alessio Diana came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ghezzi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alessio Diana couldn't finish the play. Calvizzano AFC's Aldo Di Cesare got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alessio Diana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Olmi to make the kick off. 52 minutes in the game, Dino Di Toro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Augusto Battisti having to interfere. Augusto Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Di Toro in the 55th minute of the match. With his leg Augusto Battisti managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Calvizzano AFC's Aldo Di Cesare fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Donato Aureli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Diana, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Alessio Diana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Dino Di Toro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Alvise Olmi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Aureli having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aldo Di Cesare got free with Augusto Battisti in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ghezzi FC's Augusto Battisti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Ghezzi FC from getting a goal against them. It was a well-played corner which Antonello Selvi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 91 minutes of play, Ghezzi FC's Alessio Diana made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Aureli was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Calvizzano AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ghezzi FC.
