The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joga Bonito's Cristoforo Di Cola got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ermanno Valcareggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th match minute, Joga Bonito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Di Campli to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Dewhirst in the 16th minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Davide Locatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Joga Bonito got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Valcareggi. Pierre Dewhirst struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Davide Locatelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciak 37. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Dewhirst in the 33rd minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Davide Locatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Joga Bonito booed when Ciak 37 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Pozzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ciak 37's Pierre Dewhirst in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 51st match minute, Ciak 37 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Manna to maneuver through the defense. Achille Buffone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amos Gargano. Pierre Dewhirst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Dewhirst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Locatelli having to interfere. When Francesco Carota came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ciak 37 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Carota couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ciak 37's zone, Ermanno Valcareggi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amos Gargano came out of the goal and Ermanno Valcareggi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute of the match Cesare Di Giacomo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amos Gargano skillfully saved the ball. In the 87th minute, Francesco Carota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
