Alberto Aquilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Massa FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alfredo Di Marino hit a great ball. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Massa FC's goalkeeper Anthony Ciarrocchi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Massa FC's Anthony Ciarrocchi got control of the ball when Edmondo Tofani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniele Tabacchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Massa FC's zone, Edmondo Tofani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Ciarrocchi came out of the goal and Edmondo Tofani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Attilio Boldrini was the one to do the kick off. Cimavalle AFC's Edmondo Tofani got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Massa FC's Anthony Ciarrocchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmondo Tofani in the 56th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Massa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Galante came free, but Anthony Ciarrocchi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Massa FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
