Quadraro Roma's Amerigo Margoni got a free kick in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Concetto Amatori was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.S. Quadraro Roma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontoncello AFC the free kick. Concetto Amatori hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pontoncello AFC's zone, Amerigo Margoni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Carafa came out of the goal and Amerigo Margoni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Alfredo Salvagnin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Salvagnin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Comunardo Guadagnoli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristiano Lucchetta. Comunardo Guadagnoli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cristiano Lucchetta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurelio Grossi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Augusto Perilli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Lucchetta having to make a save. After 27 played minutes A.S. Quadraro Roma got a freekick which was hit by Andrea De Vincentis. Alfredo Salvagnin struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Cristiano Lucchetta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pontoncello AFC. Cristiano Lucchetta made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Augusto Perilli sent off a good shot on target. Comunardo Guadagnoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Cristiano Lucchetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Farese made a kick off. Pontoncello AFC's Comunardo Guadagnoli got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Lucchetta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Perilli in the 54th minute of the match. Comunardo Guadagnoli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontoncello AFC's Antonio Carafa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Pontoncello AFC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 62 minutes, Aurelio Grossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontoncello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Grossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amerigo Margoni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Antonio Carafa made a huge save. Alfonso Farese blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Carafa having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrea De Vincentis during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aurelio Grossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cristiano Lucchetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Pontoncello AFC got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Gava. In the 81st match minute, A.S. Quadraro Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Concetto Amatori to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Comunardo Guadagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontoncello AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Comunardo Guadagnoli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurelio Grossi in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Lucchetta saved A.S. Quadraro Roma from getting behind. Aurelio Grossi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Lucchetta having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Comunardo Guadagnoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontoncello AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Comunardo Guadagnoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Lucchetta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, A.S. Quadraro Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Perilli came free, but Cristiano Lucchetta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Aurelio Grossi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfredo Salvagnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Comunardo Guadagnoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cristiano Lucchetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
