Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Acos FC's zone, Francesco Brunetta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Benarrivo came out of the goal and Francesco Brunetta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrizio Finocchi made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Augusto Zoff sent off a good shot on target. If Augusto Zoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmondo Romagnoli in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabrizio Finocchi saved San Giuliano from getting behind. Edmondo Romagnoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Finocchi having to interfere. Fabrizio Finocchi made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Augusto Zoff sent off a good shot on target. Alvaro Iob's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrizio Finocchi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Adriano Piermattei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Zoffs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Fabrizio Finocchi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, San Giuliano's Concetto De Bartolo got a free kick in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augusto Zoff got free with Fabrizio Finocchi in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Augusto Zoff might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabrizio Finocchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Zoff ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmondo Romagnoli made a kick off. After a rather tough play, San Giuliano's Armando Schiavio got a free kick in the 55th minute. Fabrizio Finocchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmondo Romagnoli's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. The supporters of Acos FC booed when San Giuliano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Lusi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Zoff in the 65th minute of play forced San Giuliano's goalkeeper Fabrizio Finocchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Concetto De Bartolo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Felice Di Nardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrizio Finocchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Zoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as San Giuliano's Francesco Brunetta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Diego Benarrivo. That made the score 1-1 after 89 minutes of play. Adriano Piermattei struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Diego Benarrivo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Giuliano. The San Giuliano players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Acos FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
