The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesco Brunetta got free with Cesare Monzeglio in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Lencisa's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Scafati came free, but Cesare Monzeglio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Fantini to make the kick off. When San Giuliano's Adriano Piermattei in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adriano Piermattei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Gambini kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Adriano Piermattei managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Giuliano's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Piermattei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
