Edoardo Marchetti kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Biagio Marcon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carmine Capasso having to make a save. 1-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Beppe Monzeglio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Fedele Boldrini reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emiliano Iannotti. The goal made the score 2-0. Beppe Monzeglio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Iannotti having to interfere. When Beppe Monzeglio came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Peseggia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Monzeglio couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Citadinaza's Flavio Colelli got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Fedele Boldrini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fedele Boldrini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emiliano Iannotti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fedele Boldrini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ennio Prisco in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carmine Capasso saved Peseggia FC from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ennio Prisco to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Citadinaza booed when Peseggia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eraldo De Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Aldo Capobianco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuele Punta hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Biagio Marcon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carmine Capasso having to make a save. Citadinaza's Biagio Marcon got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Beppe Monzeglio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emiliano Iannotti was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Emiliano Iannotti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beppe Monzeglio in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Citadinaza's Ennio Prisco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carmine Capasso. Carmine Capasso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fedele Boldrini in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Iannotti saved Citadinaza from getting behind. If Ennio Prisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
