In the 3rd minute Arturo Castagna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Tristezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arrigo Tristezza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Castagna in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Ercole Pari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Tristezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Armin Santone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Castagna struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Arrigo Tristezza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa Nostra. After 14 minutes of play, Cosa Nostra's Arturo Castagna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arrigo Tristezza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armin Santone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Di Nucci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arrigo Tristezza. Yellow Submarine's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Fabiano Castagna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cosa Nostra's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Castagna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arrigo Tristezza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Fabiano Castagna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arrigo Tristezza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 34 minutes into the game, Arturo Castagna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Arrigo Tristezza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Fabiano Castagna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Cosa Nostra's Fabiano Castagna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arrigo Tristezza. Arrigo Tristezza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Arturo Castagna succeeded in the game's 60th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. A collision led to Yellow Submarine getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Eraldo Fallito hit a great ball. In the 68th minute of the match, Arturo Castagna got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arrigo Tristezza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Yellow Submarine's zone, Fabiano Castagna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arrigo Tristezza came out of the goal and Fabiano Castagna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Castagna got free with Arrigo Tristezza in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armin Santone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato De Leonardis having to interfere. Arturo Castagna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arrigo Tristezza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Anselmo Di Nucci. Fabio De Zorzi's late challenge caught a Cosa Nostra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabio De Zorzi helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Yellow Submarine got a freekick which was hit by Fabio De Zorzi. After some careless play in the Yellow Submarine defense, Arturo Castagna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arrigo Tristezza. The Yellow Submarine fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arrigo Tristezza should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Dave Genta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Castagna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Arrigo Tristezza made a huge save. Fabiano Castagna in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arrigo Tristezza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Donato De Leonardis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Santone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Cosa Nostra could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Yellow Submarine throughout the match.
