The audience was convinced that Dave Azzolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosimo Ricci was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 4 minutes into the match, Percefal FC's Alex Guerriero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cosimo Ricci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cosimo Ricci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Azzolina's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. With a little luck, Percefal FC's Edmondo Fantini got control of the ball when Dave Colombi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 17 minutes, Anfilogino Juliano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Percefal FC and the Cene AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anfilogino Juliano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Edmondo Fantini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dave Colombi in the 18th minute. Percefal FC's Edmondo Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Percefal FC from getting a goal against them. Dino Banana charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dino Banana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dino Banana kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Fedele Ceci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Ricci having to interfere. Dave Azzolina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cosimo Ricci having to make a save. Carmine Maurizi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cosimo Ricci. Cene AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Concetto Ruggeri's late challenge caught a Cene AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Concetto Ruggeri helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Percefal FC got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Ruggeri. Dave Colombi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Edmondo Fantini skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dave Azzolina to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Percefal FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Armando Proietti hit a great ball. Edmondo Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Colombi in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Anfilogino Juliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 played minutes, Cene AFC's Dino Banana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmondo Fantini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cene AFC reached it. If Dave Colombi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bianco De Palma, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Azzolina in the 70th minute of play forced Cene AFC's goalkeeper Cosimo Ricci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Guerriero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cosimo Ricci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cene AFC were furious when Fulvio Porreca was red carded, 78 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cene AFC! Alex Guerriero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Ricci having to interfere. After some careless play in the Percefal FC defense, Dave Colombi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Fantini. The Percefal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Fantini should have stopped the shot. Dave Azzolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosimo Ricci having to interfere. Percefal FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
