Alfonso Pietrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ennio Faieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Arrigo Giancristofaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longiano's supporters rose to their feet, but Arrigo Giancristofaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Pietrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ennio Faieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Achille Di Massimo made the kick off in the second half. If Achille Di Massimo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Arrigo Antonangeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesare Barillari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arrigo Antonangeli in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Arrigo Giancristofaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Pietrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achille Di Massimo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesare Barillari saved Longiano from getting behind. If Ennio Faieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Pietrini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Achille Di Massimo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Cesare Barillari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minoprio AFC. Longiano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
