The Placentia SPQR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlo Bellisario should have stopped the shot. Viconovo's Damiano Crema proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Viconovo from getting a goal against them. Cosimo Addario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Carlo Bellisario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlo Bellisario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Di Gennaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Carlo Bellisario didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesare Di Gennaro went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 24th match minute, Viconovo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Nelli to maneuver through the defense. Alessandro Petricca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Elia Tomasso fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viconovo's protests and gave Elia Tomasso a yellow card for diving instead. Damiano Sangermano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Damiano Sangermano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damiano Crema. That made the score 1-2 in the 34 minute of play. Cosimo Addario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Carlo Bellisario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesare Di Gennaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cosimo Addario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Bellisario having to interfere. Viconovo's Damiano Crema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Ciarrocchi in the 62nd minute of play. Biagio Ciarrocchi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Crema read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Damiano Sangermano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 minutes, Alfonso Giordani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viconovo and the Placentia SPQR players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Alfonso Giordani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Damiano Sangermano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damiano Crema was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Carlo Bellisario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Di Gennaro in the 85th minute of play. If Cosimo Addario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesare Di Gennaro struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Carlo Bellisario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viconovo. After 96 played minutes Cesare Di Gennaro rounded Placentia SPQR's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. The Viconovo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Viconovo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
