Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Baptista in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Apolloni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Beppe Cinalli came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Brunate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beppe Cinalli couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Apolloni was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. With a little luck, Brunate's Róbert Csányi got control of the ball when Fortunato Uguccioni tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute, Cristiano Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Apolloni. MARIACHI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Brunate booed when MARIACHI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francesco Bassani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The MARIACHI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brunate were winning 0-1.

After having played for 53 minutes, Alessandro Cantagallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARIACHI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alessandro Cantagallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brunate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fortunato Uguccioni was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in MARIACHI's zone, Cristiano Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Apolloni came out of the goal and Cristiano Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francesco Pezzella hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Cantagallo in the 78th minute of play forced Brunate's goalkeeper Róbert Csányi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniele Giacomozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Apolloni having to interfere. If Cristiano Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 82 minutes, Daniele Giacomozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brunate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Giacomozzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniele Giacomozzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 88 played minutes MARIACHI got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Di Paolo. In the 92ndth minute of the game Cristiano Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARIACHI's Flavio Apolloni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cristiano Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MARIACHI support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
