The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arrigo Bertoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Fulvio Marcolongo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fulvio Marcolongo made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Biagio Torri sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Bertoni in the 35th minute of play forced U.S. Arce 1932's goalkeeper Fulvio Marcolongo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Arrigo Bertoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Marcolongo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, U.S. Arce 1932's Federico Moretti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Massimi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Brandizzo AFC's zone, Cosimo Alleva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Massimi came out of the goal and Cosimo Alleva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Arrigo Bertoni made the kick off in the second half. Aurelio Massimi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Moretti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, U.S. Arce 1932's Federico Moretti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Massimi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brandizzo AFC's Aurelio Massimi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Brandizzo AFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Brandizzo AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Florian Berardini hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Brandizzo AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Massimi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosimo Alleva. If Federico Moretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute Biagio Torri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Marcolongo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fulvio Marcolongo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Berardini in the 72nd minute of the match. Fulvio Marcolongo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Bertoni in the 76th minute of play. Federico Moretti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cosimo Alleva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelio Massimi having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Brandizzo AFC's Christian Tozzi got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Aurelio Massimi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Moretti in the 85th minute of play. Biagio Torri hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. U.S. Arce 1932's Fulvio Marcolongo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Biagio Torri in the 88th minute of play. Aurelio Massimi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Moretti in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Beppe De Carolis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Brandizzo AFC's goalkeeper Aurelio Massimi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosimo Alleva. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brandizzo AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while U.S. Arce 1932 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
