In the 16th minute Márcio da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Bottaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narni United's Corrado Cipollone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Muciaccia in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Narni United booed when Philadelphia Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrico Bardella didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Fedele Grilli in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Narni United's Godofredo Galli. Márcio da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Márcio da Silveira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmondo Bottaro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Márcio da Silveira hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 37 played minutes, Philadelphia Union's Enrico Bardella shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Corrado Cipollone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Philadelphia Union reached it. Ercole Mosca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Corrado Cipollone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Giocondo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Narni United got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Marongiu. If Ferdinando Muciaccia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinando Muciaccia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Narni United's Achille Giocondo got a free kick in the 51st minute. 57 minutes into the match, Narni United's Felice Luzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmondo Bottaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Corrado Cipollone acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Enrico Bardella. Corrado Cipollone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Muciaccia in the 77th minute of play. Felice Luzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Bottaro having to interfere. Philadelphia Union's Edmondo Bottaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felice Luzi in the 84th minute of play. Edmondo Bottaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felice Luzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felice Luzi in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmondo Bottaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Philadelphia Union booed when Narni United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Persichetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márcio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Narni United had won after a very even match.
